Made it home!

After 2 weeks of getting back into snowboarding and getting tricks back we (Tyson, Belmore, Dhanu,Ash and Tim the photographer.) made the trip down to Boulder CO. Arriving late we decided to get some rest for an early start.
Friday morning bright and early we packed our gear and went to the first destination after meeting up with Stags and Woods, this was a barrel down bar exiting an underpass check photo. Tim was there taking photos, Stags was there filming for the Ballistyx Snowboard Show and we were also filming for our movie Spare Change (Wet Socks Productions).http://wetsocksproductions.blogspot.com/

Half way through a State Ranger rocked up questioning what we were doing but after some sweet talking she had no problem with it and even tried to help us out with different locations. The money shots were taken so we moved on.

The second spot was an up rail with a drop off the side located in a park, we all got to work setting it up, forming the run in the lip and setting up the Bungee Rope. The snow was perfect to make the lip but every minute after the heat was dramatically affecting the run in and was forming it into a wakeboard course. I managed to get the shot with the help of all the boys pulling the bungee and filming. Cheers bros.

We headed to the Dorms where the College students live to scope some features, found a few sweet hits but didn't end up hitting them, another time.

After a successful day a few of us decided to go out with our College friends to a few Frat parties and what not, good night.

Up early again but not as early as the day before, we all headed to a local school to hit a down rail with a decent size donkey dick on the end. Upon arrival we found that the in run was a lot smaller than expected and to make it worse it was right under a roof drainage pipe, so while strapping in we were standing under a waterfall. A few tricks were thrown and a few shots were taken and that was a wrap for our Boulder urban trip! We ended up making it home Saturday night at midnight.

Also some other photos of what I've been up to lately.

1st day at Breck

Got up early with the boys and headed up the hill. This was the first time I've been on my board since my surgery, I rode like a spastic at the start of the day with my new Ride DHtwo board. As soon as I got my feet back the board was amazing. It was a windy and cold day but my Rusty clothing did the job had no problems at all.
Taking it easy just to make sure my knee is alright, I just took a few hot laps then hit the pipe abit and a few box's. Everything is feeling great and cant wait to get back out tomorrow.

Final days passing time

Adding along side Ride Snowboards and Ashbury eye wear I'm super stoked to announce Rusty outerwear. Dropped into the shop in North Melbourne to pick up some gear just the other day and met up with Ryan and some of the Rusty crew. These guys are super stoked on pushing their company and I can't wait to be reping their company as well as Ride and Ashbury.
Also finding out that Romain De Marchi is riding for Rusty aswell and that we are the only two peole rocking the outerwear atm.

Flights have been booked for the 10th of Feb so only 5 days to go, can not wait.

Some good news

As of yesterday my doctor has given me the go ahead that my knee is strong enough to get back into full on sports like SNOWBOARDING. Hell yer.

I have also been picked up by Ride Snowboards to be apart of their team. Stoked.
Everything is coming together in preparation for America.

I've got way too much energy just to be chillin in Melbourne atm, I've been reverting to surfing, jumping off bridges, swimming Bmxing, making shit and going out. And can't forget working..

Myself and my mate James are throwing a fair big going away party since we are both leaving Melbourne for some time. Stay tuned from some photos, should be a big night.

Last day of 09!

Two months have passed since my surgery, my knee is looking and feeling really good. My doctor and physio are super stoked on my progress and how far ahead of schedule I am. 2010 is going to be a good year and can't wait till I'm back on snow.

Fingers crossed 2009 goes out with a bang.(pun intended).
Happy New Year.

Here's a video I've been meaning to put up for a while now, from One Hit Wonder event that i was invited to.

Operation

So after an awesome last week of school, stuffing around, mucking up and going out, Monday the 19th finally arrived. Got to the hospital and got prepared for surgery, met the nurses and was happy one was fairly good looking, which helped me take my mind off surgery. The surgery was over within 1 and a half hours and doc said everything went really well. The LARS ligament is in and recovery has started.

Booked In

Booked In for the 19th of October to get my ACL reconstruction and get the LARS (artificial ligament). Which means I can start rehab really soon and get back on snow this summer in America.
